Armed Men Abduct 23 Individuals In Federal Capital Territory (FCT)


In the early hours of Thursday, approximately 40 gunmen carried out a kidnapping operation in the Kawu community, located in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). 

A total of 23 people were abducted during the attack.
Kawu, situated at the borders of Niger and Kaduna states, fell victim to the assailants who reportedly arrived from the Kuyeri Forest in Kaduna State on Wednesday.

Abdulmumini Zakari, the councilor representing the area and deputy speaker in the council, provided details of the incident. According to Zakari, the gunmen divided into groups, targeting specific locations within the community. They entered the palace of the district head, Alhaji Abdurrahman Danjuma Ali, where they abducted his son Lukman and his recently wedded wife. Another group attacked the compound of Alhaji Alhassan Sidi Kawu, the Marafa of Kawu and former PDP Chairman of Kawu Ward, kidnapping him along with his four children.

The bandits also entered the compound of Sarkin Pawan Kawu, Gambo S Pawa, abducting him, his two wives, and several children.
