On September 1, 2023, the Naira saw a slight uptick, trading at ₦740.38 against the dollar in the Investors and Exporters window. However, the unofficial market revealed higher dollar rates, with buying at ₦915 and selling at ₦918.

The ongoing devaluation has adversely affected businesses and the cost of living for Nigerians, compounded by the removal of fuel subsidies. During a recent church service on September 3, 2023, Pastor Adeboye shared his optimism, reminiscing about a time when the Naira stood strong against the US dollar. He assured Nigerians that these days would return, emphasizing that miracles often hold unique, incomprehensible aspects.
